Leeds United, Yeovil Town, some numpties and a Xmas tree

I don’t normally bring normal life or politics into a Clarkeonenil post but this little pearl provoked me:

Now lets examine what this story is telling us, it says that given a choice between just telling a bunch of racists to frig off the West Yorkshire Police would rather spend days in meetings with Leeds City Council getting concerned about a Xmas tree!! When you factor in what happened to Luton Town when this bunch of shites for brains marched their (see http://clarkeonenil.co.uk/front-page/sniffer-nose/sniffer-nose-1-070909-leeds-united-without-beckford-scottish-whining-luton-town-lose-out ) and you begin to see why its is relevant to Leeds United. How close did the local plod come to insisting of a change of date for the game or even cancelling it just to accomadate the EDL (total numbers c50-500!)? With about 60% of our support coming from outside the City of Leeds for most home games the logistics of having both a game and a demonstration on the same afternoon seem somewhat problomatic. That is before you factor in our Yeovil friends.

Bottom line, the West Yorkshire Police have mismanged this, if one person, Leeds fan on his way to the game, Yeovil fan, mothers with kids shopping, people going about their business, is subject to violence due to this pathetic march we know who to blame. Even if by some miricle their is no repeat of Birmingham, Manchester and Luton (and you need to be very trusting to believe that) the above story just shows how distorted the priorities of our guardians of the peace have become!
