Welcome to a new Satuarday feature on Clarkeonenil, a retrospective look at the last week on here, condensed into the top 3 picks of the editorial team. Consider it a kind of weekly follow-up that gives us all time to reflect on what otherwise gets quickly lost in the high turnover of quality material.
This week the top story involved the controversial decision of the club to play Scrooge early: http://clarkeonenil.co.uk/front-page/contributions-on-the-leeds-united-quagmire/leeds-united-only-under-bates-could-this-happen and the attempted cover up after. This is an example of where we on Clarkeonenil find ourselves wondering will the club ever sort intself out on the administrative side and the public relations side? We doubt it ever will as things stand. Mind you with this development: http://clarkeonenil.co.uk/front-page/contributions-on-the-leeds-united-quagmire/leeds-united-llhb-is-on-the-case maybe times are a changing.
Our second choice this week is in fact two choices; this weeks contributions from our two regular writers, Graeme Garvey on a Monday and Darragh Mullen on a Friday. Coming from different perspectives, Mr Garvey has over 40 years of watching Leeds United to recall whilst Master Mullen has the spirit of youth to call on. Graeme reminded us that their is a good side to our decline http://clarkeonenil.co.uk/front-page/leeds-united-ggs-monday-talking-points-comparing-managers-and-players and Darragh took a polite but well aimed swipe at the Beckford is God brigade http://clarkeonenil.co.uk/front-page/leeds-united-dms-friday-teenage-kicks-in-jermaine-points . If you are yet to catch up with these two, see their respective categories.
Finally for this week, a reminder this site has a general footballing side. http://clarkeonenil.co.uk/front-page/days-out-and-culture-shocks/slippery-slope-barnet-0-v-0-port-vale is an example of how sometimes we all perhaps need to consider ourselves lucky when we see some of the turgid fare others take for granted.
Have a great weekend.
The Editor.
