Comments Policy

Clarkeonenil and its Comments Policy.

One of the clear differences between Clarkeonenil and say the highly popular and successful The Scratching Shed is that the latter encourages debate (and has recently set up a forum system) whilst we are a touch more picky about which opinions we are interested in and will never host a forum, as it says in Greetings and Housekeeping “we are not a democracy”. As a result all comments must be posted under your own name, not some made up cover (special discretion applies to some some old comment providers who have shown they are trustworthy in not posting abuse who first did so under then old policy). Basically if your not prepared to put your name to your opinion then your comment is of no value to us.

The above assumes that all articles are open for comments, that is not the case and will be decided on an article by article basis. All open comments articles will last about 72 hours maximum and all comments moved from the comments section to trash (in the blog admin) after about a month or three.

Leeds United cyber-space is full of forums and cross-over blogs where people can say anything they like under any disguise they choose, and best of luck to the odd good one, but here on Clarke its our policy plus open and clear that counts and if that means we lose a few comments or readers, oh well, thanks for calling in.

Edited February 11. No snide is allowed, a blanket ban on “so-called Leeds fans” or accusations of being negative is imposed and will be enforced with attitude.

Further Edit January 12. A zero tolerence policy towards defending Bates in now fully in force.
